The Pixl Insert

Pixl introduced its three-wedge series in Orlando on January 26th, 2001.  Acting independently of each other, the individual pixl-shaped inserts (see image to left) serve much like the individual coils of a mattress, resulting in a more consistent ball rebound, regardless of impact location (see graphic below)...
Consistent Ball Rebound

Wow.

So, what does Pixl technology mean for the beginning, intermediate and expert golfer?  Consistency in the scoring (100 yards and in) zone, exactly where all of us need it.  BuffGolf hit shot after shot after shot with the Pixl gap wedge (see specs below), intentionally mishitting some, while striking a great majority
on the sweet spot.  What BuffGolf discovered was the truth behind the pixl...

RESULTS
The results were all within a certain horizontal parameter:   no more than a few feet left or right of the constant middle-of-the-green target.  The closer we placed our ball to the target (the shorter the shot), the more accurate even the mishits became...

Yes!!

Even into a strong headwind, or against a forceful sidewind, the balls that left the Pixl clubface revealed precious little deviation from intended line of flight...

Whoo-Wee!!

Chipping and pitching became a pleasurable task.  Addressing the ball with a Pixl wedge invests one with confidence.  The gentle curves and traditional lines simplify the visual union of clubface and ball.  The precision-milled grooving of these forged wedges provided ample backspin that prevents shooting or skipping of the ball across the green.  Shot after shot landed on the green, checked accurately, then released into a sublime roll across the putting surface.  Again, the independent pixl technology eliminated the "hot spots" often found in the faces of traditional forged wedges...

Oh, My !!

The Face Of PixlGolf

HISTORY
Founded in 1983, The Beta Group, among other enterprises, made its mark in the isoforce inserts  found in the latest generation of Ping putters.  Art Chou, former technical editor of Golf Digest, was chosen to head the Pixl Golf division of The Beta Group.  In 2000, Pixl Golf introduced its 1.8 Series of putters, one of only two putters to receive the coveted Birdie award from Golfweb, ranking Pixl putters ahead of Odyssey, Ping, and Never Compromise, among others ...

Boo-Yah!!

The Traditional Pixl Lines

FUTURE

Pixl Golf will soon debut a set of irons, created with the same ground-breaking technology found in its revolutionary short-game implements.  One can anticipate another revolution from 100 yards and out with the arrival of the
Pixl Golf matched set of irons, with Pixl face technology.
